Terms That Keep Things Simple
aka "Distance agreement"
This agreement is between the Seller - Performer of economic activity Jānis Lielpēteris, reg.no. 12119210637, Kaukāza 14-6, Rīga, Latvia, LV-1006, e-mail: [email protected] - and you, the Buyer. By placing an order through this website, you agree to the basics outlined here.
We’ve kept things simple and transparent - just like a clear trail map. Below, you’ll find the essentials. For the full details on topics like delivery, cancellations, returns, and how we handle your data, we've put together dedicated policies. Easy to find, easy to follow.
ORDERS & PAYMENTSYou place an order and you pay using the checkout options or an invoice we send to your email. Your invoice is valid without a signature, and we'll start preparing your order once payment is received. In case you use invoice, your request might take 2 days to process.
DELIVERYWe aim to get your order to you within a reasonable time frame. For more on shipping timeframes, carriers, and how it all works, check our Delivery Policy.
CANCELLATIONS & RETURNSWe believe in fair returns and easy cancellation. Want to know how and when? You’ll find the full story in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
YOUR PRIVACYWe only collect the data needed to fulfill your order and keep you updated. Nothing extra, nothing sneaky. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Just so you know – we’re not a package travel organiser and don’t offer package travel service (just yet). Instead, we provide inspiration, route planning, and sometimes guided experiences — always in a way that keeps you in control. When we organize something, you book and pay for services like transport or accommodation directly with the providers. No bundled deals, no tour buses—just your adventure according to our vision.
DIGITAL GOODS: FOR YOU AND YOUR CREW, NOT THE WHOLE INTERNET
When you purchase digital items from Ourside - like route maps, guides, or any downloadable content - they're meant for your personal use only. That means you can take your friends along for the adventure, but the file stays with you. Here's what that means:
- Personal Use Only. Feel free to use these files for your own adventures. Bring your friends on the hike but don’t pass the file around.
- No Commercial Use. You can't resell, redistribute, or use our digital content for commercial purposes. That includes posting them publicly, sharing them widely online, or incorporating them into products or services you offer without Ourside consent.
- Respect the Trail. Just as we ask you to respect nature, we ask you to respect our work. Unauthorized distribution not only undermines our efforts but also the community we've built together.
If you're interested in using our materials beyond personal use, please reach out. We're open to collaborations and would love to discuss how we can work together. We believe in fair use - but if needed, we’ll use every legal trail marker available to protect our work.
SAFETY FIRST: YOUR SIDE OF THE DEAL
Exploring outdoors is beautiful - and unpredictable. When you use Ourside routes, guides or join our experiences, you’re stepping into nature’s world, not a theme park. That means it’s up to you to take care of your safety and act with awareness. Here’s what that means:
-
You’re responsible for your own safety. Whether you’re following a GPX route or joining a guided tour, you agree to take full responsibility for your actions, decisions, and well-being during the activity.
-
Assess before you go. Make sure the chosen route fits your fitness, experience, and current conditions. If in doubt - don’t go, or choose something gentler.
-
Nature changes and so can trails. Paths might be muddy, overgrown, snow-covered or temporarily closed. Infrastructure might be limited or missing. We provide the best info we can but can’t guarantee what the trail looks like on the day you hike.
-
Follow all local rules. That includes traffic regulations, protected area guidelines, fire bans, and common-sense respect for other humans, property, animals and ecosystems.
-
Gear up properly. Safety equipment like headlamps, weather-appropriate clothing, charged phones, offline maps, water and first aid - these are your responsibility. For some routes, missing gear could mean serious risk.
-
In guided tours, you still play an active role. Ourside guides are here to lead but we’re not babysitters. You still need to stay aware, follow instructions, and inform the guide of any health or safety concerns before we start or on the way.
-
Don’t take others beyond their limits. If you’re leading friends or family on a self-guided route, make sure they’re prepared too. Everyone deserves to feel safe and supported.
-
No risky shortcuts. No off-route experiments. The route exists for a reason. If you go off-trail, you do so at your own risk. Respect access boundaries, private land, and protected habitats.
-
We are not liable for incidents, injuries, delays or route deviations. By using Ourside materials or services, you acknowledge that outdoor travel involves real-world risks and agree to take full responsibility for your experience.
FINAL NOTE
